Welcome to Science Fiction Fantasy Saturday. On the surface, it’s a web ring of authors who post snippets of their work for comment. In reality, it’s a close-knit group of friends and colleagues working together to support and encourage one another and promote the science fiction and fantasy genres.
- JC Cassels, 2012

Anyone is welcome to join us, provided there is no adult content in the snippets that are submitted to the ring. Submissions with adult content will be removed from the final published lists with no explanations.

The work that is shared is exclusively the work of the respective authors, and should not be reproduced in any shape or form without the express permission of the particular authors.

Please note: This group is not intended as a critique group or a forum for correcting writers' snippets, unless the author specifically requests critique. The aim is to be a social group to share and enjoy our work.

SFFS 10/11/2012

First of all, a BIG thank you to Gayle Ramage for the design of our new header for the blog. A logo will shortly be made available that you could put up on your websites as a SFFS badge and link back to this blog, if you wish to do so.

Welcome to this week's round of SFFS snippets. Sign up, and then enjoy the read on Saturday!

Please ensure that you do the following:
  1. Have the blog post live by 6 am GMT (Greenwich Mean Time). Work it out if you're in a different time zone.
  2. Make the SFFS blog post clearly identifiable to readers (e.g. use "SFFS" in the heading, or some variant). It is preferable that the link you post to this list leads directly to the blog post, so that readers do not have to play 'hunt-the-snippet'.
  3. Do not post anything else on your blog for at least 24 hours after posting the SFFS blog post.
  4. Keep the snippet's length to ten sentences or less. Otherwise it's no longer a snippet.
  5. For those of you on twitter, the twitter hashtag is #sffsat.
