SFFS 28/05/2011

Good day all! Welcome to the first round of SFFS.

For those who are new to this, SFFS is a ring of authors who share snippets of their work once a week. Any writer can join in (and please do!), so long as you stick to the rules: keep it to six sentences; keep it accessible to all ages.

The point of this is: share bits of your work and read what others have written. Comments on other snippets are always very welcome, but should be kept constructive.

Any project has to start somewhere, so do enjoy the two snippets that have been shared this week.

1. Pippa Jay  2. Laurel C Kriegler

To join in, track the hashtag #sffsat on Twitter, or follow the blog. Doing either of these will enable you to find out when the next round of submissions will open up!

SFFS Round One is Brewing

Thank you to those who joined in with SFFS this week. The list is brewing, and will be live at 12pm BST. Come back then to read some interesting writing snippets.

In the meantime, if you wish to join in, follow the #sffsat tag on Twitter, or follow this blog.

Welcome to SFFS

Welcome to the launch of SFFS.

The purpose of this ring is to provide speculative fiction authors with a forum for sharing snippets of their work. No-one should feel any obligation to participate every week, though all and any comments on contributors' posts are very welcome.

The first list will open for signups from 12:00 PM BST on the 25th May (Wednesday), via the next blog post. All of the blog posts will need to be live on your blogs by 6:00 AM BST on the 28th for checking. The signup list will close at this time as well, so no more signups will be possible after this time. The final list of links will be made live at 12:00 PM BST on the 28th.
