JM Filipowicz

Who are you? J M Filipowicz

What genre/s do you write in? Science Fiction.

Why do you write? Because I don't have the credentials to become an astronaut.

Planner or Pantser? Pantser. I have tried planning but my characters stubbornly refuse to stick to an outline.

Where can we find you? My website/blog (J.M. Filipowicz), on Facebook (J M Filipowicz), twitter (@jmfilipowicz), and on youtube (J M Filipowicz). I blog every Wednesday and vlog every Friday.

Upcoming releases? My first novel, Wardroids, is scheduled for release this summer with Double Dragon Publishing. Check out www.jmfilipowicz.com/wardroids for more information and to view the book trailer.

What are you working on now? My current work in progress involves a matriarchal alien society in which each woman has two husbands, one to care for the children and the other to keep house and protect the family. I've been posting snippets of the first chapter for SFFS.

Personal Bio: J M Filipowicz lives in a quiet condo on the surface of the moon, with a beautiful view of the cosmos through her geodesic dome. She spends her time imagining new worlds and writing stories by Earthlight.

Having graduated from the University of Toronto with a degree in both art and writing, she occasionally paints her subconscious onto canvas. When she has to come down to Earth, the she resides in Burlington, Ontario, Canada with her husband, two children and her dog, Worf.

Wardroids - J.M. Filipowicz

Another day, another pile of junk littering the workshop; that’s my life aboard the Destiny. I’m Emily, the designated fix-it chick. Wouldn’t be such a bad job if the crew would stop ogling me. Especially Commander Black, who just can’t get it through his head that we’re no longer together. That’s what I get being the only woman on this third-class space barge. Unless of course you count the wardroid, Thirty-two Eighty. Though a soldier drone refitted to be a sex slave isn’t exactly good company. The worst part is that I can’t remember my past, though the thought of it fills me with fear. Then, in the middle of the night, the wardroid grabs me and takes me to a dangerous planet, a war-torn world where no human in her right mind would ever go: Earth.
