One of My Top Fantasy Reads is...

I read it about 15 years ago, and I've just finished my first reread of it. One thing that I can say is that it certainly lost none of its magic between reads - probably due to the lapsed time. The world Hobb creates is as fascinating as it is complex, and her characters are sympathetic and wholly villainous, depending on who one is considering. Definitely one of my favourite fantasy reads.

Who are you? I'm a bookworm who discovered one day that she had stories to tell.

What genre/s do you write in? My stories tend to be science fiction, but I've lately taken a foray into the fantasy side of life.

Why do you write? I was always a creative person, but never had an outlet for that creativity until I discovered the writing bug.

Planner or Pantser? Pure pantser. I write when I have a scene to write. I'll have a very bare framework, but there's no detail till I get the scene/s.

Personal Bio I grew up in South Africa, and graduated from Rhodes University with an Honours (postgraduate) degree in Economics. I then spent three and a half years working in the UK, returning to SA to get married. It was during the next three years that I began to write. My husband and I moved to the UK in 2008, and we live in Middle England with our young daughter.
