Why do you write? It’s my passion. I love words and I love science fiction, so it makes sense for me to write it. It gets under my skin, especially if I have an idea that I have to get down on paper. I’m just itching to write it.
Planner or Pantser? I’m mostly a pantser. I think my best prose happens as I’m writing and the ideas flow and the issues work themselves out. But I know I need at least an outline of where I want to go with a story; otherwise, I’ll just end up in the weeds in left field somewhere.

Upcoming releases? Cog will be released by Dog Star Books in the summer of 2013. It’s about a woman with an unresolved dark past, which she has to revisit in order to save herself, her family, and her company.
Latest release? My article, “Cyberpunk: Remastered,” appeared in the multi-award winning writing guide, MANY GENRES, ONE CRAFT. And I have a short story, “The Haunting of M117,” in Genesis: An Anthology of Black Science Fiction, Book 1.
Personal Bio: K. Ceres Wright is a writer/editor at ICF International, working on a support contract for the National Eye Health Education Program. She encourages everyone to get a dilated eye exam.
